The Camp Family
This blog will be about us, but mostly I've decided that it will be about the things that my sons say. Of Course Greyson is still too young, but Garrett has said quite a few things that I've should have posted, but haven't!

Dino Lingo
This product is great for small children to learn different languages. My Mother is German and I think this will be a great way for my boys to be able to speak the language of their heritage.

The Many Uses of Ivory
I recieved a sample of Ivory soap in my Influenster Mom Voxbox.
The following are ways you can use Ivory Bar Soap:
* Body Cleanser
* Facial Cleanser
* Clothes Stain Remover (food stains, ring around collar, etc)
* Laundry Flakes
* Soap Carving Project
* Other
I like using the soap on my children because I know it's soft and gentle on their skin.
It's awesome that such a product is so cheap and works great!
Following is more info on the product:
Free of dyes and heavy perfumes, Ivory provides a simple, yet effective clean for the entire family (without breaking the bank!).
Ivory bar soap is 99.44% pure (it floats!). Beyond using it as a body cleanser, many of Ivory's loyal users – not to mention a few celebrities – swear by Ivory as their beauty secret. In fact, many consumers use Ivory bar soap as a facial cleanser. It provides healthier, smoother and more even-looking skin. Also, its versatility makes it an effective laundry soap (just chip soap flakes into the washer) as well as a spot stain remover on your clothes (including delicate items). Ivory bars can even be used for a fun soap carving project with the family!
When it comes to motherhood, Ivory (the clean & simple soap) knows that being a mom has become more complex than ever, and that moms are looking for ways to simplify their lives. According to a survey of 1,000+ moms conducted by Wakefield Research on Ivory’s behalf in October 2011, 80% of American moms think motherhood is more complicated today than it was 20 years ago, despite the thousands of items supposedly designed to “simplify” their lives. But, while they may be more stressed out and busier than ever, almost 90% of moms think they’re doing a better job balancing it all than their mothers did. Some other interesting stats:
· 30% of moms surveyed found the most complicated aspect of motherhood was finding more "me" time, 66% confessed to hiding in their bathroom for some alone time.
· 75% feel the pressure to make every outing, playdate, or experience a "teachable moment," which can create great pressure
· 70% of moms feel they don’t have everything together, despite others thinking that they do.
As a result of these findings, Ivory created a Facebook community where everyday moms can share tips with one another on ways to simplify life for themselves and their families.
Find your Ivory now at your nearest retailer, including stores such as Walmart and Target as well as any major grocery, dollar and drug store. A 10-pack of Ivory bar soap retails for around $4.49 (bath bar size).
Try some yourself!

Come get me....
Garrett was going to Indiana with his Dad, Granny K, Aunt Jenny and cousin Charlie. I called to see how it was going when they were about an hour from St. Louis. I talked with Garrett and he said he wanted to come home. I told him that he would have fun and that he would be home in a couple of days. He said, No, I want to come home now. I said that he was too far away and that I couldn't come get him. He said, "just get in your car Mommy and you can come get me." I started laughing and so did everyone in the car and he says, "Why's you all laughing?" So we stopped laughing and he said, "You CAN come get me!" I told him I couldn't and that he would have a ton of fun. He finally accepted it and told me he loved me.

Out of Control
Garrett and Greyson were in "The Man Room" at Nannys and Garrett dumped out a bunch of cars so he and Greyson could play with them. Greyson proceeded to take the cars and start throwing them everywhere. Garrett starts yelling, "He's out of control! He's out of control!!" Ha!

Brother......
Friday night the Nannies had come over because we forgot to bring Mario Racing game home for the Wii from their house. We were watching Garrett play and Greyson started getting fussy so I asked the Nannies if they minded watching Garrett while I put Greyson down. They didn't mind. So I went and nursed Greyson to sleep. I came back out after he fell asleep and Caroline and JoHelen were getting ready to leave. Garrett did NOT want his Nannies to go so he says, "NO don't go. Mommy.....go give your boobie back to brother!!!!!" All three of us started busting out laughing. I guess he thought if I went to nurse greyson again, the Nannies wouldn't leave!

Tooting
Garrett's been using the word toot and pee and other words like that lately. It's getting pretty old. Tonight I told him I didn't like him using those words and that he needed to quit saying them. He says, "But Mommy, I have toots in my bottom." I said, "Garrett..." (in the Mom's voice that says your pushing it.) and he says, "Mommy, see!" He proceeds to turn around and toot on me. As much as I didn't want to I couldn't help myself and started busting out laughing. That's my boy!!
But Not me Mom
Went to pick the boys up from the Nannys today and when I walked in Garrett started screaming, "NOOOO!!!" But Greyson starting getting excited and was trying to get to me. I said, "Well at least one of you is excited to see me." and Garrett says, "But not me Mommy!" Nice! :)

Freakin'
We were on vacation up in Minnesota for my Dad's wedding. Garrett was going wild and I mean wild!! I had finally had it and said, not thinking, "I know what your freakin' problem is, you haven't had a nap!!!" and Garrett turns to me and says, "No Mommy, my freakin' problem is, Daddy won't push the right buttons!!!" (Chad was trying to find Spongebob for him.) I started laughing so hard!!! Oops!!

Fingernails....
I was just looking at Garretts fingernails and told him that we needed to clip them. He said, "NO, Momma!!" I said, "I'm not going to right now, but here in a little bit." He says, "No, Mommy, I have to have fingernails." I said, "Why?" He says, "So I can pick my boogers!"

Nanny's crying....
A couple nights ago Garrett and I were up past everyone else. I was playing on the iPad and he was watching tv. All of a sudden Garrett says, "Mommy, I need to go see Nanny." I said, "Garrett, it's too late, why do you need to see her." He said, "Nanny's crying because she misses me." I said, "Do you want to call her?" Not realizing it was 10 pm. He said, "Yes." I told him it was actually too late and that he would see her tomorrow. He says, "I need to go to bed because the faster I go to sleep, the faster I wake up and can go see Nanny. Then she will be happy."

Too late for talking
Today Garrett got mad at Maggie because he thought she had bit brother. He was yelling at her and telling her NO! (Maggie didn't bite brother by the way) He kept acting like he was going to throw a crayon at Maggie and Nanny kept telling Garrett that he better not. Well Garrett didn't listen and he threw the crayon at Maggie. Nanny said, "Garrett, I told you not to throw that, go to your naughty chair." Garrett looks at Nan and says, "Nanny...it's too late for talking, I already did it." lol!

Days of the week!
I was visiting the boys at lunch today and Garrett was pretend talking to Mamow on the telephone. He says, "Hey Mamow, tomorrow is Monday!" I interrupted and said, "No Garrett, today is Monday, tomorrow is Tuesday." Garrett then says, "Mamow, today is Monday, Tomorrow is twoday and then it's Threeday, then fourday the fiveday!" Me and Nanny started laughing and was like, Well, I guess that's partly right! :)

BB and talking
Garrett still uses his BB (pacifier) and he is constantly told that when he talks to take it out of his mouth. Earlier Garrett was talking with it in his mouth..."gla glah gla glah cartoon on!" (couldn't understand him at all) Chad says, "Garrett, I can't understand anything you say when you have that in your mouth." So Garrett takes it out and says, "gla glah gla glah cartoon on!" HA HA!

I've had it with you.....
JoHelen our Nanny had reminded me of a funny story. A few months back she was of course watching the boys and Garrett was just being a handful. After several attempts to get him to take a nap, him being in the naughty chair and being talked to...Nanny finally said, "Garrett, I've just about had it with you!!" and Garrett looks at her and says, "Nanny, I've just about had it with you too!!" Of course, who could keep a straight face with that one. Nan started laughing and so did Garrett. After that he finally took a nap!

Babysitter
Garrett has been acting up at his Nannys house the last couple of days and I finally told him that if he didn't straighten up, I was going to send him to a new babysitter. He looks at me and says, "But Mommy, the babysitters house is gone." His old babysitters house is gone from the tornado. I told him, "There are other babysitters." He says, "No, they are all gone." I said, "No they are not, I may even find a mean one." Garrett insists that all the babysitters are gone. There are no other babysitters, he has to stay at Nannys. lol.

Waps and Honey Holes
I went to see the boys at lunch, which I do everyday I'm at work and they were all waiting on me out on Nanny's porch. I get out of the car and Garrett says, "Mommy there are waps flying around." I said, "There are?" and he says, "uh huh, there are waps and they keep going in the honey holes." He showed me where the honey holes were, (wasp nest) and said, "Nanny needs to get the honey holes down." and I agreed with him. I love that boy!

When we got home this evening, Garrett had a new truck that his Mamow had bought him. Upon seeing it, Chad says, "We're going to have to have a talk with your MeeMaw." and Garrett looks at him and says, "No Daddy, it's Mamow." Ha!

Counting
This evening as we were eating dinner, Garrett kept getting out of his chair. Chad started to count, which is what we do when he is in trouble.
Chad, "That's one."
Garrett, "Two."
Stiffling laughter.
Chad,"Garrett, next time you get out of your chair, I'm not even going to count, you will go straight to your room."
Garrett, "NO Daddy! You HAVE to count."
Me still stiffling laughter! :)
Money & Toys....
I went to pick the boys up at Nannys and before we left, Mamow asked Garrett if he knew what tomorrow was and I said, "We get money tomorrow Garrett, do you know what that means?" thinking he would say that Mamow stays home all day. Instead he says, "You buy me toys?"
June 15th, 2011
It was bedtime and I was nursing Greyson in bed. Garrett comes in there and I tell him to get in bed. He looks at me and calmly states, "I'm Sorry Mommy, but I just can't do that" I say, "You can't do what?" and he says, "I'm sorry, but I just can't go to bed right now. Okay?" I was trying my hardest not to laugh. Sometimes you have to see his face and hear the words for it to be funny! :)

June 14th, 2011
Garrett had informed us that he wants to live with Nanny and Mamow because, "We're no Fun." He was whiney and loud. Then Greyson was having a bad night and I couldn't calm him down. Chad asked what he could do to help. I finally told Chad to take Garrett to Nanny's. Garrett stopped whining, calmed down and said, "Okay Mommy, I can stay here now."
